The good thing about this is the optimization process might bring some interesting changes, even improvements, on the game Art. Usually games have to be "optimized" to run smoothly on consoles. I can't imagine Red Thread being happy with how Deep Silver managed their game. It was released in physical editions for the US. Syberia 3 came out about the same time and launched at $49.99. I'm all for low retail prices, but $29.99 almost seems too low. They didn't make a physical edition for US. They couldn't be bothered to even supply screenshoots and videos for the PS store.

Possibly the colors might be tweaked, but there was nothing improved for the "enhanced" PS4 Pro version.ĭeep Silver really dropped the ball in marketing the console versions.

On the basis of the PS4 Pro version, don't hold your breath for anything spectacular on the PC Final Cut. Will the PC Final Cut also cut these two parts out? I am guessing that they will. Perhaps it was a (misguided) editorial decision about pacing. I have no idea why they decided to remove them from the console version. I suspect the same is true for the other deleted scene. One of the deleted scenes was in the PC version. There are two deleted scenes you could access and play in the Extra section.

I didn't expect parity, but I also didn't expect such a huge difference. Visually the PS4 Pro is a big step down from the PC with all the options maxed out. If DFC was "enhanced" for PS4 Pro, I hate to see what it looks like on vanilla PS4 or X1. The background and sky traffic were extremely reduced from the PC version. Shadows across Zoe's face were blocky and ugly. Also lens flares and light spotches were removed from the PS4 Pro version. It made the PC version looked washed out by comparison. I'll talk about what the PS4 Pro has to "offer." The PS4 Pro version was definitely more colorful at the start of Propast (the save outside of the Dr.'s office). It displays (and is surely upscaled) 2160p.

I have no idea what the native res for PS4 Pro is. Resolution was set at 4k (3840 x 2160) with all options maxed out and vsync on.

My PC specs are i7 6800 and Geforce 1080 ti. My PC and PS4 Pro are on the same LG 55 4k HDR, so I just switched inputs between the two. They specifically enhanced the game for the PS4 Pro. I decided to do another run-through and got it for my PS4 Pro since it's on sale at the PS store this week.
